Exercise Tips for Women
We all know that as well as following a healthy balanced diet, exercise is vital if we are to enjoy well-being and steady weight loss. However, how are we supposed to know what exercises we should be doing in order to get the best results for us as individuals?
The important thing to remember is that every woman’s body is different. We each have different physical abilities, our fitness goals are not the same, and our metabolisms all work at different speeds. Therefore, it would be stupid to think that one standard exercise program would suit every single woman that comes to the gym.
Someone that wants to lose as much fat as possible may be better to focus on a cardiovascular based program, whereas a lady looking to strengthen and tone may be better using weight machines in order to achieve her goal. What about those who suffer from back problems? What exercise program should they follow? Who is Yoga suited for, and why might it suit you better than Pilates?
As you can see there are so many different options, knowing what’s right for you can be a challenge. Luckily there are a few ways you can get the information you need in order to craft a workout routine, perfect for your physical abilities and goals. Let’s take a look at your options.
Read A Book- There are many good books out there offering solid advice about weight loss and exercise programs just for women. Many will come with pictures or diagrams showing you how to perform each exercise or movement. The advantage of a fitness book is that they are fairly inexpensive, and most cover a wide range of routines suitable for different body types and abilities.
The downside of these books is that they don’t cater for individual needs, and much of the advice offered is pretty general. If you have never done any exercise before a book will give you a basic understanding of how an exercise program works. Get A DVD- It seems that everyone and their dog has brought out some sort of exercise and fitness DVD these days, but some of them are fairly good. The advantage of using a DVD program is that you can see each exercise performed in front of your eyes so you can clearly see what you should be doing with your body.
The only problem with following a DVD fitness program is that once again they are very general and won’t cater for your individual fitness needs. The other thing you won’t get from a DVD is feedback on how you are doing, or the motivation you may need when you begin to tire.
A Personal Trainer- The beauty of having a personal trainer is that everything is one to one and designed for you and you alone. A trainer will sit down with you and discuss your health and fitness goals, before beginning to craft a nutrition and exercise plan tailored to help you reach your goals quickly and effectively.
They will also discuss any physical problems you may have, and will ensure you never try to perform an exercise which may injure you further. More importantly they will give you live feedback on your progress, in addition to providing you with that much needed motivation along the way.
Many people who reach their fitness goals, and now enjoy slimmer, healthier, and happier lives have all achieved their goals with the help of a personal trainer. It is probably the best solution in finding the best exercise system for you.
